OPTIONS FOR PAYING YOUR PROPERTY TAXES

At your bank: All of the banks in Boone County accept property tax payments on our behalf.  Click here for a list of bank locations. Bring your entire bill if you want it stamped to show proof of payment.

By mail: Send your check with the payment stub to the Boone County Treasurer at the address above.  Your payment must be postmarked on or before the due date.

Online bill pay: If your bank offers online bill payment, enter your property number as the vendor account number so we can properly record your payment.  We cannot be responsible for payments received with no property number reference.

Online by credit card, debit card or e-checkClick here to go to the shopping cart.  Convenience fees of up to 2.5% will be added to your total at checkout.  We cannot accept credit/debit cards in our office or by phone.

At our office in the Boone County Administration Campus, 1212 Logan Avenue, Belvidere, IL (cash, check, cashier’s check or money order) office hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday. Bring your entire bill if you want it stamped to show proof of payment.

Drop box: If you can’t make it to the Treasurer’s Office by closing time, just drop your payment in the envelope depository on the east side of the building after hours. Please use an envelope and include the payment stub.
